The waste treatment plant in Abanilla is a pioneer in Europe in the production of fuel from plastic water bottles and bags from supermarkets, which can replace coal and fuel oil.
Energía Sur de Europa were present as part of a Spanish initiative at The World Energy Forum held in Abu Dhabi between the 18th and the 22nd of January 2010.
